The assignment this time was to pick a person, cartoon, or character of some sort, and make a cube figure of them. For my project, I picked the pokemon Squirtle.
We started off by just looking at other cube figures online. We then picked one for ourselves. One that we didn't see on the website. I drew out how it would look as a cube, and I liked it. So I got the blank sheet with no drawing on it, just the figure spread out. So when I drew the face, I scanned it into my computer, and opened it into photoshop. I started by fixing the threshold, then cleaning up the face. I had to add the lines for his shell, but no big deal. After, I found a good color that is very similar to Squirtle's color, just more vibrant. And I added the pink to his tongue, and eyes. I also made the back part of the shell brown, and the front a tan color. All the squares, besides the front and back of torso, were blue.
This assignment was not hard, I found it very easy, and simple. I wouldn't change anything about it. The only problem i had was that on the back part of the shell, it wouldn't let me colors only one area brown. But I fixed it just by fixing another layer.

Quote Design Assignment
First off, I want to give credit to Dr. Seuss for the quote.
Our assignment this time was to pick a quote, and then we would do something with it later on. So when 'later on' came, we were instructed to copy + paste or type the quote into the InDesign software and work on it. Which meant we were able to control where we want the words to be placed, which would cause an effect on how people read it. (If they took a pause, the rhythm of the way the quote is said, etc.) We were also able to change the colors of words. So in my design, i changed the font of the words I found important. The word "nonsense" is in a font that i thought was not serious, because if i picked a font that looked professional, it would not match the word correctly. I then made the word a brighter color since this word could mean "silly". And a lot of people see silly, as fun. On the second line, I made The words "wake up" in all caps because when you wake up, your brain is functioning fully again and is just like a big factory. Those words are in the color yellow, because of the sun. When you wake up in the morning, the sun is out. In the last line, I only have two words. Brain cells. The words are in black because it matched the font. I picked the font because it kind of reminds me of like robotic stuff, and codes to websites. Like when a website is created you have codes that control what it does, and the font is very similar, plus it's the only font like is closest to a website code. I figured since the brain is very advanced, and it controls your body the way codes control a website, the font suits the words pretty good. I think the process was very simple. The software is very easy to use, and it was probably the easiest assignments we've ever gotten. I like the way my final project looks because the quote is simple, and so is the design. Sometimes, you don't want something simple to look more extravagant then it really is.

Logo Design (feat. Reflection)
We were assigned to make a logo for ourselves, or just a logo in general. The first thing we were instructed to do in order to create it was to first, select a drawing and make altercations to it. Then we had to pick which drawing we liked the best, and were instructed to scan it onto our computer. Once we got it on our computer, we would open it into Photoshop, or some other software, and edit it. We could fix the threshold, and add color, and just clean it up. We could put whatever colors, mess with it in whatever way we wanted to. I found that it was a really cool assignment and I enjoyed it. I wish I did shape the "moon" into a better circle, but it's okay that I didn't because not everything is perfect(even the things we find beautiful). Ignore my cliched little comment right there. To make my next one better, I might use a different software to fix it up. Just so everything is shaped better. It's not perfect, but I'm okay with it. I found the process was really easy, and simple. Maybe just because I'm now used to using Photoshop.
